Broken Dreams

On the morning of December 16, 2014 hundreds of kids were getting ready to go to school in Peshawar, Pakistan. This was a public school that staffed children from the military personnel. You can imagine as we may all can when we were young, that some of these young children were excited to go school, some not so much. They all went ahead and put on their uniforms only hoping to come back home by the end of the day.

Little did they know that morning would be their last day. Mid morning of December 16th, 134 kids lost their lives to a school shooting. The attackers did not hold back ruthlessly shooting at the youngest from age five to teenagers. This horrifying tragedy left many of us Pakistani's distraught.

Broken Dreams, 2014, is an ode to the lives lost on this day.
